"Goodbye Cloth Hall!"
--[malarze.com news--[03.05.2006--19:04
Starting on July 2006 for the next three years Cracow's National Museum's division in the Cloth Hall, presenting Polish art of the 19th century, will be closed. During this period this renaissance building will undergo preservation and the exhibition as such will be modernized. Most of the exhibits from the Cloth Hall will be presented in the renaissance Royal Castle in Niepolomice near Cracow.

Unfortunately, due to their enormous sizes, "Prussian Tribute" by Jan Matejko, "Foursome" by Jozef Chelmonski and "Nero's Torches" by Henryk Siemiradzki will not be shown there. "Foursome" will hang in the Museum's Main Building, two other paintings will be not available for visitors. So – these are very last days to see those paintings in this decade…
